He's sitting by himself in the middle of the room
On the chair, he's staying there and he won't be leaving soon
Takes out the old guitar to play his simple song
Looks around to see who's there, but no one to say he's wrong
Somebody tell him!
I wanna tell them!
Nobody sees the crime take place
Don't go to him!
Don't approve him!
Just let him play without a trace
The pretender tries to steal our eyes
And they all watch in awe
But I know what I saw
And it reminds me of someone I used to know
But understanding what went wrong
You learned your lesson long ago
Always finding us with the corners of his eyes
But he can't find his glory no matter how he tries
Still playing all his songs, he doesn't understand
Sing with security, I just don't think he can
Somebody tell him!
I wanna tell them!
I've seen so many do the same
Don't go to him!
Don't approve him!
Let him discover who's to blame
The pretender tries to steal our eyes
And they all watch in awe
But I know what I saw
And it reminds me of someone I used to know
But understanding what went wrong
You learned your lesson long ago

Melodic, intricate, emotional. This is an album for anyone who appreciates soaring vocal harmony, tight chops, and good songwriting. The musical focus on this album is less on totality than on individual tracks, which allows it to be both accessible and nuanced. The album also prominently features acoustic guitar, giving it a softer and reflective side as well. A solid project overall. Justin Carlton

Plus de cuivres, plus de cordes, des arrangements encore plus fabuleux pour un album concept immersif ; Methexis est une entité musicale en perpétuelle évolution... Génial ! Que dire de plus ? Poesy Rider

After having had their first album on CD, I was surprised The Third Ending had another album out on Bandcamp - and what an album this is! Wonderfully crafted prog rock, superb singing and instrumentation, great mixing... I'm over the moon with this. What a find! Martin Bergmann
